Robert Alan Stevenson, 40, a lifelong Juneau resident known with affection as "Rotten Rob," died May 1, 2004, while on a fishing trip in Berners Bay. He was born December 12, 1963.
He graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1982 and attended RSI, a refrigeration school in Phoenix, Ari. Over the years, he was employed by Twentieth Century Supermarket, Foodland Supermarket, Mike's Refrigeration, and most recently by CRL Services.
Rob is survived by his wife, Ronda; children, Laclair, Jacob and Laurel; his parents, Robert L. and Donna Stevenson; sisters, Monica Stevenson, Lisa Stevenson (Ralph) Goers and Tama Stevenson; aunts and uncles, Gordy (Bobbie) Tyler, Rick (Marge) Buckner, Roxanna (Fred) Felkl and Russell (Esther) Stevenson; nieces and nephews, Vanessa Stevenson, Miles Parker, Kyle Monti and Sara Parker.
Rob loved the Alaska lifestyle of hunting and fishing. His sense of humor was a favorite at gatherings of friends and family. Rob was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and those whose lives he touched.
The family will hold A Celebration of Life for Rob at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at the Moose Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an account for the Stevenson Family at Wells Fargo Bank, Valley Branch under the name of Ronda Stevenson. A reception will follow the service at the Moose Lodge.
