ANCHORAGE - City officials have granted another extension to a developer who wants to renovate the 14-story MacKay Tower in downtown Anchorage, but say it's probably the last.
Developer Marc Marlow has until July 1 to resume work. He wants to resurrect the 50-year-old building into apartments, condominiums or a hotel.
The renovation was halted in summer 2000 when Marlow ran out of money after spending a few million dollars. He said he still needs millions of dollars to finish the project.
