Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Troopers received a report of a disturbance at about 3 a.m. Tuesday in Angoon. A man, 25, allegedly tried to force entry into his mother's residence. He reportedly smashed out a glass pane in the front door but was unable to gain entry. Troopers arrested him on a charge of fourth-degree criminal mischief related to domestic violence.
A red and gray Trek racing bike, valued at $400, was reported stolen at 2:17 p.m. Tuesday near Crow Hill Drive in Douglas. The bike is worth $400.
A boy, 12, reported his black and red bicycle was stolen at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek. The bike is worth $50.
Police cited a woman, 38, who was driving a 2004 Chrysler, on a charge of failing to yield after an accident at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday near outbound Egan Drive and Whittier Street. The other vehicle was a 2002 Oldsmobile driven by a man, 34. Damage to the Chrysler was estimated at $2,000. Damage to the Oldsmobile was estimated at $4,000.
Police cited a woman, 29, who was driving a 1994 Saturn, on a charge of failing to yield on a left turn, after an accident at 12:08 p.m. Tuesday on Mendenhall Mall Road. The other vehicle, a 2003 Dodge Caravan, was driven by a man, 49. Damage to the Saturn was estimated at $6,000. Damage to the Dodge was estimated at $4,500.
An accident at 5:32 p.m. Tuesday on Glacier Highway reportedly left a 1994 Toyota Corolla with minor damage. A 1990 Toyota truck driven by a woman, 27, reportedly struck the Corolla, driven by a woman, 49. No damage was reported to the truck.
No damage estimate was available from an accident at 8:08 a.m. Wednesday. A 1993 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a man, 31, reportedly struck a 2001 Toyota, operated by a man, 29, in the rear.
A 1986 Subaru reportedly struck a 1993 Ford, causing $1,000 in damage, at 8:28 a.m. Wednesday on Harbor Way.
Hit and run:
A man reported at 5:29 p.m. Tuesday that an unknown person damaged the porch of his Second Street residence in Douglas.
A woman reported her Chrysler was vandalized at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday near Glacier Avenue downtown.
A man reported at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday that he lost a black leather jacket containing a check book and identification at about 2 p.m. somewhere on Egan Drive.
At 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, a boy, 11, brought police a girl's dirt bike he found in the Lemon Creek area.
A bear was reported aggressively attempting, without success, to spring loose contents of a purported bear-proof trash container at 11:51 p.m. Tuesday in the 6000 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.
