Crimson Bear soccer teams travel north

Posted: Thursday, May 06, 2004

The undefeated Juneau-Douglas High School boys and girls soccer squads embark today on their last road trip of the regular season.

The Crimson Bear varsity squads play at Palmer today, at Colony on Friday and at Bartlett on Saturday.

The junior varsity teams will also be traveling north, but their schedules have not been finalized.

Last week, the Juneau girls (8-0-0) compiled a 3-0-0 record on the road in games against Wasilla, West Anchorage and Homer. The Crimson Bears did not allow a single goal on the trip.

The boys (10-0-2) beat Wasilla and Homer last week before rallying to tie Chugiak for a 2-0-1 trip record.

Next week, both Crimson Bear squads will play the last games of their home and regular seasons when the Ketchikan Kings travel to Juneau for games on May 14-15.
