Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


$2,000 worth of battery-operated power tools and hammers were reported stolen from Kanat'a Street at 8:31 a.m. Monday.

At 9 a.m. Monday, a caller reported the theft of a red 18-speed Giant mountain bike with shocks sometime last Wednesday from Mendenhall Loop Road.

At 9:03 a.m. Monday, a caller reported the theft of a red gear bag and a portable Motorola radio from his vehicle on Dixon Street the previous night. The gear bag was recovered in the area.

A caller reported the theft of a black cellular phone from a vehicle on Willoughby Avenue at 4:53 p.m. Monday.

A 7-to-8-foot-long wooden plane propeller, valued at $1,500 to $1,800, was reported stolen from South Franklin Street at 5:29 p.m. Monday.

At 7:38 p.m. Monday, a caller reported the theft of a watch from a residence on Tongass Boulevard.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

At 12:48 p.m. Monday, a caller reported his 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was keyed the length of the passenger side while parked on Riverside Drive between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday.

A Ford pickup was reported vandalized at the Douglas Boat Harbor at 4:37 p.m. Monday.

Underage drinking:

A 16-year-old boy was cited for underage drinking on South Franklin Street at 12:03 a.m. this morning and left in the care of Bartlett Regional Hospital.

Vehicle accidents:

At 10:18 a.m. Monday, a 1966 Ford pickup operated by a 46-year-old woman backed into a 1998 Honda Accord operated by a 41-year-old woman on Glacier Highway. The Accord sustained about $1,000 damage.

Animal encounters:

At 4:45 a.m. this morning, a caller reported a bear getting into an empty garbage can that was not brought in after garbage pick-up on Monday. Officers could not locate the bear.
