Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Vehicle accidents:

• A man, 74, was cited for failing to yield while turning left after his 1997 Buick struck a 1994 Ford at noon Monday near Egan Drive and Vintage Boulevard. The Buick sustained $5,000 in damage. The Ford had $3,500 in damage.

• At 12:42 p.m. Monday, a woman, 53, reported her 1992 Summit was struck in a hit-and-run between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday near Mendenhall Loop Road. Her car sustained damage to the hood.

Theft:

• At 1:02 p.m. Monday, a Nokia cell phone was reported stolen last week near Glacier Avenue.

• A teal backpack, compact disc case and several CDs were reported stolen from an unlocked Subaru at 10:22 p.m. Monday near South Franklin Street.

Lost property:

• A green coin purse was reported stolen at 4:22 p.m. Monday near W. Willoughby Avenue. The purse contained a piece of jewelry valued at $300 and identification cards.

• At 8:25 p.m. Monday, a black canvas wallet was reported stolen in the past two to three days in the Juneau area. The wallet contained miscellaneous cards and less than $10.

Assault:

• A woman, 20, was arrested for assault at 10:44 p.m. Monday near Glacier Highway. She was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Underage drinking:

• A man, 20, was cited for underage drinking at 2:28 a.m. Tuesday near South Franklin Street. He was released.

• A woman, 18, was arrested for underage drinking and interfering at 5:46 a.m. Tuesday near Front Street. She was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
