JUNEAU - The state Science Advisory Panel on cruise ship wastewater treatment systems will meet for the second time June 10-11 in Juneau.
The panel was created in 2009 by House Bill 134, which also gave more time for cruise ships to comply with the state's strict wastewater discharge standards.
The science panel is charged with evaluating the effectiveness of various treatment systems that could be used on cruise ships.
The panel's first meeting was held Feb. 1.
The meetings will be held in the Egan Room at Centennial Hall. They are open to the public.
