Sealaska Heritage Institute will hold its second meeting to recruit volunteers for Celebration 2008 on Thursday, May 15. The meeting will be held from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m. in the Hammond Room at Centennial Hall.

This year Celebration will be held from June 5 through 7 in Juneau. The theme is "Tlingit, Haida, Tsimshian: Dancing on the Land." The festival will likely include new activities highlighting traditional Native foods, including contests for the best red ribbon seaweed and the best soapberries, according to Sealaska.

People who volunteer at least four hours for the festival get a free one-day pass to Celebration.
