JUNEAU - The Juneau Economic Development Council is providing Kill A Watt monitors for residents to rent.
The monitors, made by P3 International, can be plugged into an appliance to find out how much power it uses and how much money it costs to run.
The Juneau Economic Development Council gave one device to Downtown Video. It can be rented free for two days. Another two went to the downtown Juneau public library. They may be available for four-day or five-day rentals starting next Wednesday.
JEDC may provide more monitors if they prove popular.
Amazon.com sells various models of the monitors for between $21 and $40 plus shipping.
