KENAI - The city of Kenai may pay its workers an extra $500 from savings on health insurance.
The savings would go to the city's 93 employees.
City Manager Rick Koch said that last year the medical care deductible rose from $200 to $1,000. The $800 per-employee difference was self-insured by the city and placed into an account.
Koch said that enough remains in the account for the city to consider splitting the money with its employees.
