The award-winning activist-musician duo emma's revolution will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center. The Juneau Pride Chorus will open the show.
emma's revolution, which consists of Pat Humphries and Sandy O, has been featured on NPR's "All Things Considered" and has performed at the First Inaugural Peace Ball, Sing Out the Vote Ohio, the World Culture Open in Seoul Korea, the Scottish Parliament's Festival of Politics, and the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, as well as churches, coffeehouses, universities, colleges and folk festivals throughout the country. Their song "Keep On Moving Forward" opened the NGA forum at the UN Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing.
Tickets are $17 for adults and $12 for students and seniors, with a $2 advance-purchase discount. They can be purchased at the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council, Rainy Retreat Books, and Hearthside Books.
The concert is presented by PFLAG-Juneau, Juneau People for Peace and Justice, Juneau Veterans for Peace, and the Juneau Unitarian Universalistic Fellowship.
