Juneau-Douglas High School softball -- The Crimson Bears host the Sitka Wolves and the Ketchikan Kings at Melvin Park softball field (with some JV games at Dimond Park No. 1). Juneau varsity plays Ketchikan (non-conference) at 7:30 p.m.; Ketchikan JV White vs. Juneau JV, 4 p.m.; Ketchikan JV Maroon vs. Juneau JV, 5:45 p.m., all games at Melvin Park. Juneau Golf Club -- One-Club Tournament: Meet at Mendenhall Golf Course between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Proceeds from the tournament benefit Juneau Junior Golf. Ongoing/Meetings

Augustus G. Brown Pool springboard diving clinic -- This class meets from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 8-22, at the Augustus G. Brown Pool. The clinic teaches basic competitive springboard diving skills, concentrating on front and back approaches. Students must be comfortable diving off the low diving board. Info: Augustus G. Juneau Freewheelers Bicycle Club: Meet at the downtown Juneau Racquet Club at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, for a women's training ride out the North Douglas Highway for 30-40 minutes and back. 4-H Youth Running Program Thursday runs -- Meet at 5 p.m. at location TBA each Thursday through the summer. The program is for runners in grades K-5. Meet at Rotary Park on May 10, at Cope Park on May 17, at Mendenhall Glacier visitor's center on May 24 and at Riverbend covered play area on May 31. More dates in June. Kluane-Chilkat International Bicycle Relay packets available -- Entry packets for the Ninth Annual Kluane to Chilkat International Bicycle Relay will be available in Juneau at Mountain Gears, Foggy Mountain Shop and the valley Juneau Racquet Club by April 20. The 156-mile relay is held on Saturday, June 16. It starts in Haines Junction, Yukon Territory, and ends in Haines, Alaska, and is for teams of one, two, four and eight riders. Application forms are also available on the Internet at http://www.hainesak.com/bikerelay/. The entry fee is $34 per rider, which includes a t-shirt, post-race dinner and awards breakfast. Adult soccer scrimmages -- Open scrimmages for adults age 18 and older are being held from 5-7 p.m. every Sunday through June 24 at the Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park football field. For more information, contact the Capital City Soccer League, 364-2503.

Southeast Road Runners -- SeaCoast Relay volunteers needed: Volunteers are needed for the Southeast Road Runners club's SeaCoast Relay, which is held on Saturday, May 26, and is the largest event of the SERR season. The race is a five-stage relay from Mendenhall River School to Eagle Beach Recreational Area, starting at 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. depending on the division. Registration for the relay is also open and entry forms can be picked up at both locations of the Juneau Racquet Club. Entry forms need to be turned in by Wednesday, May 23. Open Gyms

Youth open gyms -- From 8-11 p.m. on Saturdays (5/12 and 5/19) at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School, and from 8-11 p.m. on Fridays (5/11 and 5/18) at Floyd Dryden Middle School.
