Betsy Thomas, formerly of Reading, Pa., and Joshua Fillible, formerly of Sheridan, Ore., will marry in a traditional Indian ceremony at 3 p.m. on Sept. 1, 2007, at the Shrine of St. Therese in Juneau. The bride's priest from the St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church in Philadelphia will officiate. A small dinner reception will follow at the Baranof Hotel. There will be a Pennsylvania reception at a later date.
The bride is the daughter of Oommen and Leela Thomas. She is a graduate of West Chester University.
The groom is the son of Gary and Glenda Fillible. He is a graduate of the University of Alaska Southeast.
The matron of honor will be Dr. Becky Thomas, the bride's sister, and the maid of honor will be longtime friend Angela DiMariano. The bridesmaid will be Jennifer Bobb, the groom's sister.
The best man will be Jeremy Fillible, the groom's brother.
The couple will honeymoon in Thailand.
The bride and groom will be living on the East coast while she attends law school and he attends pharmacy school. They plan to return and live here in Juneau.
