Chelsea Lee Rohweder, of Juneau, and Mathew Anton Brock, of Boulder, Colo., were married in a civil ceremony on March 18, 2008, on the beach of Tulum, Mexico. A reception followed at Cabanas Copal.
Both of the bride's and groom's parents were in attendance. Rick Bellagh, a good friend of both, acted as translator and officiant. The couple also said they were lucky to be surrounded by a group of their fantastic friends from the Pacific Northwest and Juneau.
The bride's sister, Brooke Rohweder, was maid of honor, and the bride's niece, Ella Rohweder, was flower girl. The groom's dear friend, Tony Talbot, was best man, and the bride's nephew, Sullivan Mack, was the ring bearer.
The bride is the daughter of Marcia and Gary Rohweder. She is a former Juneau teacher and is teaching English as a foreign language in Mexico.
The groom is the son of Toni and Terry Brock. He is a social science researcher who formerly worked for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Division of Subsistence.
The couple are living in Oaxaca, Mexico.
