Gene Tagaban to perform Tuesday

JUNEAU - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium WISEWOMAN and Lifestyle Balance programs will host several Southeast performances of the show "One Crazy Raven" by noted Tlingít storyteller and actor Gene Tagaban.

Juneau's show will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Vocational Training and Resource Center, 3239 Hospital Drive. Admission is free and all are invited.

Angoon's show will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall. Klukwan's show will be at 1 p.m. May 16 at Klukwan Long House. Sitka's show will be at 4 p.m. May 18 at Sitka Community House, 200 Katlian St. Kake's show will be at 7 p.m. May 19 in the Kake High School gym. Klawock's show will be at 6 p.m. May 21 in the Klawock School gym.

In his "One Crazy Raven" show, Tagaban blends commentary, comedy, story, laughter, insight, vision, spirit and honor. The show features song, dance, music and masks as Tagaban shares contemporary and traditional Native American stories. In celebration of Native wellness, he will add an inspiring message of health and positive life choices for this performance.
