Adam Orford, son of Michael and Becky Orford of Juneau, will graduate from Columbia Law School on May 18, with academic honors, having served as editor-in-chief of the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law. After studying for the bar exam this summer, he plans to remain in New York City to work as an associate at the law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher, pursuing a career in environmental law.

Odin Miller was named to the dean's honor list at the University of Alaska Fairbanks for fall semester 2005. He is an English and Russian major at UAF and plans to study abroad in Russia in fall 2006. He is a 2002 graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School.
Dylan Ashe, son of Don Ashe and Margie Ramos, of Douglas, accepted a Buschman Award and an honor scholarship from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He is a Juneau-Douglas High School student, active in athletics, Interact Club and the National Honor Society. He has not yet decided on a major.
Stefanie Messerschmidt, of Juneau, has been named to the first semester dean's list in the doctor of chiropractic program at Palmer College of Chiropractic.
To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must achieve a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 in all studies for the respective term.
