Native American Fish & Wildlife Society to host conference

JUNEAU - The Native American Fish & Wildlife Society will host its 27th annual National Conference and will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 18 to 21 at Centennial Hall.

The NAFWS brings together Native American natural resource managers, tribal biologists, conservation law enforcement officers, and various fish and wildlife groups to collaborate, network, and share information about issues, concerns and the state-of-the-art technology pertaining to tribes and their natural resources. Subsistence: Our Way of Life serves as this year's conference theme. There will be a small trade show featuring Alaska Native arts, cultural events and and many educational sessions. There also will be a fundraising auction.
