SITKA - Alaska Democrats wrapping up their convention in Sitka are already thinking to 2012, and beyond.
They announced Sunday that they'll be meeting during the presidential election year 2012 in Fairbanks; they selected Nome as their meeting site in 2014.
Democrats also elected leaders. Patti Higgins was re-elected party chairwoman, for 2011-12, after running unopposed. Ian Olson, of Fairbanks, was elected national committeeman, defeating Mark Choate, of Juneau, for the position vacated when John Davies resigned.
