Student Artist in the Spotlight: Kane Ginter

Grade: first.

School: Harborview Elementary School.

Art of choice: "My favorite type of art is drawing because you get to draw different things."

Experience: 6 years.

All in the family: "My father has done some good drawings, he also does other art styles."

Future plans: "I want to start drawing my own comic books. I would like to think up and draw movies."

Activites: "I like to play hockey, baseball, scooter and bike-ride. Also I like to build things out of legos."

You should know: "My hero is Captain Jack Sparrow."

His art teacher, M.K. MacNaughton, says: "Kane works with a quiet dedication when he's creating art. I admire his focus and the creative depth of his work. Kane is great at visualizing objects in a three dimensional way. He manages to express humor and movement in his drawings and paintings, and he is terrific at shaping clay, wire, and other sculptural materials."
