Juneau resident Dolly "Irene" Lundstrom McKinley died April 26, 2002, at the Juneau Pioneers' Home.
She was born Jan. 10, 1910, in Douglas, to Alfred and Maija Millumaki Lundstrom of Finland. After graduating from Douglas High School, she attended business school in Seattle and returned to Juneau to work as a secretary and bookkeeper for several local firms and organizations. She was married for 30 years to Jerry W. McKinley, and together they operated McKinley Electric. She retired from state service as an accountant with the original Division of Marine Transportation.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Rebekahs, Pioneers of Alaska, and Juneau Business and Professional Women. She was an avid card player and bingo enthusiast.
She was preceded in death by sisters Daisy Brown Burrell, Della Clark, Dora Sweeney, and her brother Alfred Lundstrom Jr.
She is survived by her daughters Irene C. McKinley of Seattle; Connie (Ralph) Mollison of Oneonta, N.Y.; and Janice (Dean) Nordenson of Juneau; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; nieces Diane Thomas of Ketchikan; Doris Sievers of Calif.; Nina Brown of Juneau; and nephew Skip Lundstrom of Juneau.
