Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Dennis James Brummer, 52, was arrested for drunken driving at 9:06 p.m. Monday near Crow Hill Road. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Police arrested Edward Frank Williams III, 20, for drunken driving and underage drinking following a one-vehicle accident at 5:33 a.m. today on Egan Drive near Old Dairy Road. He was lodged at the state prison. Williams' 1989 Dodge Dynasty struck a light pole, knocking it down, and continued down an embankment and through a chain link fence before stopping in a ditch on Old Dairy Road. Williams told police he fell asleep. No one was injured, and the vehicle was totaled.


A woman reported at 11:26 a.m. Monday from South Franklin Street that a large suede vest, valued at $450, a child's vest, valued at $300, and a Pentax camera, valued at $300, were stolen.

Underage drinking:

Police cited two boys, 12 and 13, and a girl, 13, for underage drinking and tobacco possession at 10:06 p.m. Monday near Northwood Drive in Lemon Creek. They were released.

Hit-and-run incidents:

A man reported at 3:23 p.m. Monday from South Franklin Street that his 1999 Chevy pickup truck was struck over the weekend. Estimated damage was $1,000.

Animal encounters:

A Juneau resident reported a bear walking through the Switzer Creek area at 9:39 p.m. Monday. Police told the caller to contact the state Department of Fish and Game.


A Pentax camera, valued at $50, was found at 3:14 p.m. Monday near South Franklin Street.
