Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• A man, 56, was placed under citizen's arrest for assault at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday near South Franklin Street. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center after police arrived.


• A Nokia cell phone was reported stolen at 2:28 p.m. Tuesday from a vehicle parked near Mendenhall Mall Road.

• A black-and-white Viking Tempest jacket, valued at $90, was reported stolen at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday from a white Mercedes parked near Trafalgar Avenue.

• Gasoline was reported stolen from several vehicles and boats at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday near Industrial Boulevard. Police did not have an estimated value for the fuel.

• A red, metal gas tank, two red, plastic gas tanks, two large jugs of oil, fuel lines and a pump were reported stolen from a boat at 7:31 p.m. Tuesday from Front Street in Douglas. The items were stolen sometime between Sunday and Tuesday. Police did not have a value for the items.

• A canvas purse was reported stolen at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday near Glacier Avenue. Police did not have a value for the purse and its contents.

Vehicle accidents:

• No one was seriously injured when a man, 56, was struck by a 1984 Ford Bronco, driven by a man, 18, at 8:48 a.m. Wednesday near Main Street and Egan Drive. The pedestrian told police he would seek medical attention on his own for the minor injuries he sustained. The driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
