FAIRBANKS - The trial of a 21-year-old Fairbanks woman accused of driving drunk and killing a 4-year-old boy is scheduled to begin next week.
Jury selection is scheduled to start Tuesday in the trial of Jessica Paul.
She's charged with manslaughter, assault, driving under the influence of alcohol and operating a vehicle as a minor who consumed alcohol.
Paul was 20 in August when prosecutors say she struck and killed 4-year-old Phillip Lara.
The boy was riding a Big Wheel tricycle two doors down from his east Fairbanks home.
The child sustained serious injuries and died about a month later at a Seattle hospital.
Prosecutors say Paul had been drinking with three friends.
She remains jailed with bail set at $100,000.
