JDHS hosts annual spring concert

JUNEAU - The Juneau-Douglas High School choirs and orchestras will hold their annual spring concert, "Spring To Music," at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, in the JDHS auditorium.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Orchestra selections include "Quintus," "Hymn for Strings," "Suite in F Major," "Folk Tune and Fiddle Dance" and Vivaldi's "Concerto in B Minor" for four violins. Julia Bastuscheck directs the string and the chamber orchestra.

Choir selections include "Ave Verum Corpus," "Deep River," "Amazing Grace," "Over the Rainbow," "God Bless America," "Pennies From Heaven" and "Falling in Love with Love." Barbara Wilmot directs the choir.
