The Juneau-Douglas High School boys soccer team earned the top seed in the upcoming state soccer tournament.
The Crimson Bears' girls team will open defense of their state championship as a fourth seed.
The three-day tournament starts Thursday and will be played at Dimond High School and Anchorage Football Stadium.
Juneau-Douglas' boys (13-2-2) takes on defending champion Service at 4 p.m. on Thursday at the football stadium. The Bears routed the Cougars, 11-0, back on April 28.
The winner of Thursday's game plays the survivor of fourth-seeded South Anchorage and fifth-seeded Chugiak. The Bears topped the Wolverines, 4-0, on April 30 and defeated the Mustangs, 3-0, on May 6.
On the other side of the bracket, third-seeded West Anchorage takes on sixth-seeded Palmer while second-seeded Colony faces seventh-seeded Skyview on Thursday.
The Crimson Bears haven't lost to an Alaska opponent all season. The closest call came on April 29 when JDHS battled West to a 0-0 draw.
The boys tournament championship game takes place Saturday at 8 p.m. at Anchorage Football Stadium.
On the girls side, the Crimson Bears (12-2) square off against fifth-seeded Bartlett on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the football stadium.
The winner of that game faces the victor of top-seeded South and eighth-seeded Wasilla. JDHS fell to the Wolverines on April 30 by a score of 3-1.
In the other bracket, third-seeded West faces sixth-seeded Homer and second-seeded Dimond takes on seventh-seeded Palmer.
JDHS fell to the West Eagles, 2-0, on April 29 but topped Palmer on May 5 by a score of 6-0.
The girls' title game takes place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the football stadium.
