Janackovic, Acevedo to marry May 20

Nada Janackovic of Pirot, Yugoslavia, and Eric Acevedo, a 1990 graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School, will be married in a ceremony May 20 in Portland, Ore.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dragica Janackovic and the late Jovan Janackovic of Pirot. She is a graduate of Southern Oregon University and is an implementation coordinator for RiskNet Worldwide in Portland.

The groom-elect is the son of Laurie Tinney-Forneris of Juneau and Richard Acevedo of Salem, Ore. He is a graduate of Southern Oregon University and is employed as the Portland area manager for Lincare Inc.

The maid of honor will be Amy Jones of Portland. The best man will be Nick Puhlick of Juneau.

The couple will honeymoon in Maui and make their home in Portland.

Statter, Smith married April 29

Anita L. Statter and Capt. Robert W. Smith were married April 20 at their Ketchikan home. A reception followed.

Friends and family were present at the wedding and reception.

The maid of honor was Irene Nichols. The best man was Emil Meusel.

The couple honeymooned on their 42-foot cabin cruiser in lower Southeast Alaska, and will make their home in both Ketchikan and Juneau.
