Homosexuals should be allowed to marry

Letter to the editor

I truly enjoyed Tracey Moore's May 14 letter and couldn't agree with her more (or is that Moore?).

Sound off on the important issues at

If Michael Shakespeare's prejudicial, judgmental and hate-filled approach at life is truly representative of what we call Christianity, then you can understand why I do not attend church. While I may disagree with benefits solely for unmarried same-sex couples, I do believe that marriage should be extended to them.

You see, my concern is that if benefits are granted to unmarried anythings then next we will see those people who advertise "pets are people, too" asking for benefits for their cats and dogs, or neighbors on the same block requesting benefits to save money.
