An article about cruise ship passenger fees in Friday's paper misstated the amount of extra sewage generated during the tourist season. During the summer months about 50,000 pounds, or about 50 percent more sewage, is generated per month than is generated in winter months.

An article on halibut subsistence fishing in Friday's Empire did not make clear that such fishing is open to eligible fishermen in Icy Strait west of a line between Point Couverden and Point Augusta, in Lynn Canal north of Berners Bay, in Chatham Strait south of Point Augusta, and in Stephens Passage south of Midway Island. A legal definition and a map of the area are in the subsistence halibut regulations, which may be viewed at www.fakr.noaa.gov.
