Sun spotters

Mike Orford, left, and Michael Orelove scope out sun spots and sun flares Tuesday at Marine Park. Orelove, who calls himself a sidewalk astronomer, supplied the special viewing telescopes for passersby. Light leaving the sun takes eight minutes to reach Earth. "It looked intriguing and it is," said Orford.
