Tree Identification Contest

As part of the Partnership's tree display at the Douglas library, a tree identification and location contest will run for the month of May. Identify and locate the local trees on our tree poster and win a chance for a gift certificate. Ask in the library for an entry form.

Free family-law self-help clinic

Alaska Legal Services presents a free family- law self-help clinic from 6 to 8 p.m., May 19, at Centennial Hall. The clinic is designed to help individuals with legal issues resulting from divorce, custody, child support and other family-law concerns.

March of Dimes WalkAmerica

March of Dimes WalkAmerica, now in its 35th year, will be at 9 a.m., May 21, starting at the A&P Foodland parking lot. Teams from several local businesses and organizations will walk.

Residents of Juneau are helping March of Dimes fight premature birth, which affects one in eight babies in America.
