Longtime resident Myra Grice, 84, died May 16, 2005, in Juneau.
She was born Sept. 3, 1920, in Walla Walla, Wash. and grew up in San Jose, Calif. She moved with her husband, Ken Grice, and young son, Scott, in 1962 to Juneau.
She worked as a waitress at the Baranof Hotel in the coffee shop, as matron at the Women's and Juvenile Division of the Juneau jail, and as florist at Martha's Flower Shop, where she continued to work part-time until a few years ago.
Myra was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness and spent much of her time in service. Her hobbies were painting, reading, playing cards and collecting.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; sons, Alan and Scott; four sisters, Ida, Dee, Jean and Barbara; nine grandchildren, Adam, Chris, Autumn, Desi, Piper, Kacie, Ian, Kevin and Garret; and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., May 23, at the Kingdom Hall in Juneau.
