ANCHORAGE - A trial is under way for a man accused of murdering two people in Anchorage.
Prosecutors say 28-year-old Michael Delpriore killed Bret Aldrin and Melissa Bartel in 2007 in a drug-related shooting.
Testimony began Thursday. Witness Clifford Bannatyne testified that he suspected he lived next to a drug house and had witnessed suspicious activity.
The night of the deaths, Bannatyne said, he heard gunshots and screaming and ran to his door.
He peeked out to tell off the noisemakers and saw Delpriore run down the hall with a handgun, blood dripping from his hands.
He says that from the loud noises, it sounded like Delpriore was trying to fight his way out and get away from someone.
Bannatyne says the defendant ran down stairs and was "flying like Superman."
