The Rev. George Silides of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, left, leads a service Wednesday as human remains are laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. Native Elder Rosa Miller, center, and her son, Frank Miller, participated in the ceremony. The remains were discovered last year during a construction project on Chicken Ridge. During the 1880s, a cemetery was located on a portion of the ridge. Many of the remains were relocated to Evergreen early last century, but several graves remained.
