JUNEAU - The Assembly is scheduled to approve Juneau's 2011 fiscal year budget at its meeting tonight.

Including all city operations and enterprise funds, like the hospital and the airport, but not including the school district, the city's total operating budget is $324,705,600.

The Assembly is also scheduled to approve full funding of the school district's requested $26 million. The school district's total operating budget is about $90 million.

The Assembly must approve its upcoming fiscal year budget by June 15. The new fiscal year begins July 1.

Tonight's meeting, originally scheduled for Monday, was postponed so that Mayor Bruce Botelho and Deputy Mayor Randy Wanamaker could attend former Gov. Walter J. Hickel's funeral mass in Anchorage.
