Public invited to meet TMHS principal candidates

JUNEAU - Capital city residents will have a chance to meet, greet and grill Thunder Mountain High School's three candidates for principal this week.

Those three are Rhonda Hickok of Juneau, currently TMHS activities director and assistant principal, Sherrill Murray-Lazarus, principal of Roy C. Ketcham Senior High School in Newburgh, NY, also a finalist in the running for the JDHS principal's position, and Daniel Larson, currently principal of Culler Middle School in Lincoln, Nebraska.

A fourth candidate, Randall Houk of Swan Quarter, North Carolina, withdrew his name from consideration.

The three candidates for the position will be at an open house on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the TMHS library.

Friday, the district is holding public interviews from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m., also in the TMHS library.

Written public comments will be accepted during theinterviews.
