ANCHORAGE - A judge has thrown out a murder charge against an Anchorage man who was accused of killing his wife.
Superior Court Judge Philip Volland says an investigator presented his opinion about the killer last fall, tainting the jury's findings.
The Anchorage Daily News reports 66-year-old James Wease will be freed Sunday unless he is indicted again.
Prosecutors say they intend to seek another indictment against Wease in the 2007 stabbing death of 43-year-old Dana Sena-Wease. Her body was found in a ravine.
