Former Juneau resident Frances Bailey Cameron, 88, died May 17, 2002, in Seattle.
She was born Dec. 5, 1913, in Ironwood, Mich. She attended school in Ketchikan and was an alumni of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She was a teacher in Chitina, and also taught fifth grade at Harborview Elementary School in Juneau. She was a member of Alaska-Yukon Pioneers, Pioneers of Alaska and Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cameron, her parents and brother.
She is survived by her son William and his wife Linda of Juneau; her daughter Helen of Anchorage; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered with her husband's in Chitina. Services will be held in Seattle.
