Juneau residents Paige Merriam and Phil McMurray will be married at 6 p.m. May 28, 2005, at Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure. It is the first marriage for both.
She is the daughter of Barbara Merriam of Missoula, Mont., and Alan Merriam, deceased. She is a teacher-librarian at Gastineau Elementary School in Douglas.
He is the son of Betty and Paul McMurray, both deceased. He is retired from the State Department of Transportation, where he worked as a computer programmer for 20 years.
He will be escorted by his daughter, Coryjean Revelle Whittemore, 18, who lives in Santa Rosa, Calif. She will be escorted by her mother, Barbara, and sister, Ginny, both of Missoula.
His ring bearer will be his nephew, Forrest Martinez, of Woodinville, Wash. Her ring bearer will be Grant Burns, a past student.
Her attendants will be Michelle Sydeman, Pati Wolf and her sister and mother. His attendants will be his brothers Dave and Dan, Don Hall and Ken Birkett. The marriage commissioner will be their close friend, Bill Yoskowitz of Chico, Calif.
There will be a dinner and reception immediately after the wedding at Glacier Gardens, followed by an Allen Marine catamaran cruise.
The couple will honeymoon in the Yukon in the middle of June. Juneau will remain their home.
