Juneau resident Paul Frank Bell died May 16, 2005, at the Sitka Community Hospital.
He was born March 27, 1922, in Kilisnoo. His Tlingit names were Kaadusteen and Jigooni. He was Dakl'aweidi from the Killerwhale Tooth House in Angoon.
He was born to Frank Bell, Daaxtin.aa of the End of the Trail House of the Deisheetaan, and Mary George, Shaawat Goox. In 1948, he married Ruby Johnson Nelson.
He worked as a commercial fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy A. George Sr., Charlie Albert and Johnny Albert Sr.,; and his sister, Lily Edwards.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Abbott of Juneau; his children, Frank Bell, Jean Cracium, Preston Bell, James Bell, Fred Bell and Gregory Abbott; his fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. May 22, at the Tlingit and Haida Community Center in Juneau. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., May 24, at Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Hansen, Travis Woodbury, Fred Dugdale, Joe Jim Jr., Ralph Jim and Tracey Guest.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Webber, Emmert Albert, Johnny Albert, William Albert, Dean George, Jimmy George Jr., Gabriel George, Cyril George, Garfield George and Moses Smith.
