Juneau police reported:

Attempt to serve:

At 1:38 p.m. Wednesday, a summons was served on a 22-year-old woman in the 2800 block of Postal Way.


At 4:36 p.m. Wednesday, a 26-year-old man was arrested for assault in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

Found property:

At 10:01 p.m. Wednesday, a safe was found in the 4000 block of Riverside Drive. It was turned in to police for safekeeping.


At 6:46 a.m. Thursday, a 19-year-old man attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill in the 1800 block of Shell Simmons Drive.

Lost property:

At 8:07 a.m. Thursday, a 75-year-old woman reported her binoculars missing in the Juneau area.

Minor consumption:

At 11:33 p.m. Wednesday, a 19-year-old man was cited for minor consumption on Mendenhall Loop Road.


At 1:08 p.m. Wednesday, a 37-year-old woman reported her vehicle rifled through in the 8500 block of Forest Lane. Her purse was taken but later recovered.

At 2:22 p.m. Wednesday, a 53-year-old man reported a red and green 5-gallon gas can ($150) stolen from outside his residence in the 8500 block of Rainbow Row.

At 8:55 a.m. Thursday, a 47-year-old woman reported the theft of CDs ($60) from her unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Tenth Street.


At 8:06 p.m. Wednesday, a 48-year-old woman reported an unlocked Ford Explorer was rifled through in the 8100 block of Threadneedle Street. Nothing was taken.

Vehicle accident:

At 1:33 p.m. Wednesday, a 1998 Honda Civic driven by an 18-year-old man struck a vehicle driven by a 59-year-old woman on Gold Street. The driver of the Honda was cited for basic speed.

At 7:17 p.m. Wednesday, a 2001 Toyota pickup driven by a 35-year-old woman was involved in a single-car accident in the 3000 block of Thane Road. The driver was cited for failure to maintain due care.
