Elizabeth "Libby" Watanabe recently graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a bachelor of science degree in food science and human nutrition. Libby applied for and was placed at a postgraduate dietetic internship at the University of Alaska Anchorage and graduated on April 19. The Alaska Dietetic Association selected Libby for the "Outstanding Dietetic Student of the Year" award and presented it to her during graduation.
Libby will resume work at Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium in Sitka where she will work as a registration-eligible dietitian until she completes the national registration examination for dietitians and is promoted to the chief dietitian position.
Carol L. Martin Hartwe Russell earned a bachelor of science in industrial technology at the University of Idaho earlier this month.
