Juneau police Monday were awaiting autopsy results in their investigation of a body found over the weekend at the southern end of Douglas Island.

"We're still trying to get a positive identification on who the guy is," Sgt. Dave Campbell said.
Police requested an autopsy through the Medical Examiner's Office in Anchorage. The office will determine the cause of death, and police hope he will also substantiate an identity.
Police did not say whether homicide was suspected.
Juneau Police and U.S. Coast Guard personnel went to Douglas Island at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday after a boater near Marmian Island reported a body at the tide line.
Officers found an adult man's corpse and some belongings. He may have been camping in the area.
