Funk, McManus to marry

Jim and Nancy McManus of Billings, Mont., announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Kerensa to Ryan Funk of Juneau. The ceremony will take place July 14 in Billings.

The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Montana, Billings, with degrees in education.

The groom-elect is the son of Patricia Funk and the late LeRoy Funk of Juneau. He is employed by Valley Lumber.

After returning from a California honeymoon, the couple will reside in Juneau. A reception for the newly married couple is being planned for September in Juneau.



Kuaana, Nash plan wedding

Kori Hokulani Kuaana and Weston Philip Nash will marry July 14 in Anchorage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Robert and Kristi Peel of Juneau and Danny Kuaana of Indiana. She graduated from Mt. Bachelor Academy in Oregon in 1995 and received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2000.

The groom-elect is the son of Phil and Peggy Nash of Kenai. He graduated from Kenai Central High School in 1991. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 1995.

The couple met in Juneau when they were House pages for the Legislature in 1996. They moved to Los Angeles for two years before returning to Alaska in 1998. They will be married at the Tanglewood Country Club in Anchorage with a reception to follow.
