Brian McKiernan was recently hired as director of national accounts for Glacier Bay Cruiseline. He will be in charge of all new business development programs for the company, as well as expanding its national accounts program.
McKiernan has been involved in the travel industry for more than 19 years, holding management positions with Singapore Airlines, Reno Air and Alaska Airlines. He held various positions with Alaska Airlines in sales and marketing throughout their expansion years in the 1980s and mid-1990s, and later at its corporate office in tour and leisure marketing, focused primarily on Mexico and Southeast Alaska.
He was recently co-owner and managing director for Hurricane Communications, a public relations firm in the Seattle area specializing in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Glacier Bay Cruiseline is a small-ship cruise and adventure tour company specializing in a variety of itineraries featuring Alaska's Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. The company operates Glacier Bay Lodge and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldbelt Inc.
