Boy would have been treated differently

Letter to the editor

Posted: Monday, May 23, 2005

I'm assuming Heather Morris is able to recognize a rhetorical question by her letter to the editor May 18 ("Girl needs more than punishment").

I can see Heather is repulsed by the thought of gender bias in our society, but since I assume Heather is a woman, I find it laughable that Heather does not realize gender bias is a reality. I also believe the question I asked, rhetorical as it was, needed to be asked.

I also believe a male would be treated differently in this situation, obviously.
