Juneau residents should lock their cars

Today I wasn't a bit surprised to read three out of four vehicle riflings and possessions stolen or destroyed were due to the negligence of the owner to lock their vehicles. It seems to me this goes on every day.

People find the need to take what is not theirs and a primary target happens to be vehicles. I love living in Juneau and having the Small Town, U.S.A. atmosphere, but the reality is that crime is alive and well like Metropolis, USA.

If I don't want personal belongings (sunglasses, CDs, loose change) taken, I am going to lock my vehicle. How about you? Let's not give these creeps an easy target.
