JUNEAU - The U.S. Tennis Association will hold a Recreational Coach Workshop from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at JRC The Alaska Club in the Mendenhall Valley location.

Recreational Coach Workshops are interactive, on-court training programs designed for tennis teachers and coaches working with players at the recreational level. The workshop is six hours in length and will conducted by Tom Fey, a certified tennis professional specifically trained for the program. The goal of the program is to help parents, teachers, coaches and those interested in learning how to become a recreational coach with instruction, fresh and innovative ideas, and easy-to-follow resources.

Every workshop participant will receive lesson plans and sample equipment in an effort to make the learning process fun and easy. Cost is $25 for early registration or $35 for same-day registration, space permitting. The workshop includes lunch.
