JUNEAU - A 44-year-old man accused of shooting a Washington man at the city campground waived his right to a speedy trial Friday during a hearing in Juneau Superior Court.
Christopher Barrios is being charged for the attempted murder of 51-year-old Jon Gregory Lane, who was shot twice in the face at the Thane Campground on March 30.
Barrios has pleaded not guilty.
A jury trial had been set for July 12, but Barrios was then assigned a new public defender last week. The new trial date will be in mid-December.
