Juneau-Douglas' Emily Sharp, left, and Dimond's Keiahnna Engel, right, compete in the Girls' 4A 100-meter hurdles during the second and final day of competition at the Alaska State High School Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Lathrop High School in Fairbanks. Engel won the event, breaking the state record Sharp set in the preliminaries on Friday by .02 seconds, and Dimond won the large schools girls' overall title. Sharp also finished second in the 300-meter hurdles. The Crimson Bears didn't have any state champions, but Leah Francis finished second in the 3,200, and the boys' 4x200 relay team, consisting of Nick Rutecki, Chris Holloway, Jesse Miller and Christian Parker finished second in the state, and the 4x800 relay team, made up of Zachary Bursell, Dawson Walker, Robin Woodby and Andre Bunton finished third in the state.
