There's nothing funny about accident

Letter to the editor

After reading "Truck hits pedestrians, building," in Sunday's (May 14) paper, I find your attempt at humor regarding Mr. Osborne's ability to secure auto insurance for himself in the future very inappropriate and distasteful.

Sound off on the important issues at

As a parent of one of the teens he ran over, I can assure you there was nothing funny about the day at all. When all is said and done, auto insurance should be the least of Mr. Osborne's concerns. Please think about the words you write regarding tragedies like this, before publicly making light of them.
